Well, I _hope_ I didn't miss the "point!" I _do_ realize that much of
Preston's narrative was constructed to be a bit "popular" and that
Garret's work, at times, often advanced partucular social views... ;-)
That said, one _can_ read them (especially Garret's book with it's fairly
extensive footnotes and bibliography) and attempt to seperate the wheat
from the chaff... This is where those virology texts come in handy! No?

BTW, I _do_ understand your frustration to all this Ebola spamming that
has overun the group. But _please_ don't wander of to Zaire just yet! I'm
sure, just like Ebola will, eventually it too will burn itself out fairly
soon... };->
