This paper refers to RNA, not DNA, namely tobacco mosaic virus RNA. It is
the first full paper by F.-C., but not the first one on the infectivity of
free TMV RNA, which is: Gierer, A., and Schramm, G. (1956) Infectivity of
ribonucleic acid from tobacco mosaic virus. Nature 177: 702-703.
