LCMV tolerance

Mice infected with LCMV do develop varients of virus.  Macrophage- 
trophic and/or lymphotrophic varients arise in the chronic infection. 
See MA Oldsone and R Ahmed papers, late 80's-1995.  This is thought to 
lend tolernace in addition to the tollerance developed 
early during thymic education.
