In the final analysis, who CARES what Richard Preston said!!!!  He is 
NOT a virologist; he is a journalist, and from the tone of his 
writing, deeply into unscientific statements and sensationalism!!!  
DON'T go blindly quoting someone who says the "virus is like a 
hunter..".  What unmitigated crap!  It kills PEOPLE rather nastily, 
and as we don't know what it's other host(s) is (are), we don't know 
but that it might be the most innocuous thing around in it (them).
