How about speculation concerning viral information? A little diversion (or
perversion) now and then is inevitable and not all that painful.  I also
suspect that with the hype on the ebola outbreak in Zaire, more and more
people from "outside" will tap into this newsgroup seeking information and
providing speculation.  Once the outbread dies down and the public fires
burn out, paranoia and loose speculation will fade too.
