Actually, 4 people who spent time at the Reston monkey house tested anti-body positive
to the Reston strain of Ebola. The Reston strain appears harmless to humans.
I presume the answer to this is no, or it would have occured already, but why can't
the Reston strain be used to innoculate people against Ebola Zaire? If the Ebola
Zaire anti-body tests (using anti-bodies extracted Ebola Zaire victims) catch Ebola
Reston, then isn't the opposite likely to be true? Isn't this very similar to the
small pox vs cow pox innocuations?
Can someone who knows more about this subject comment on the above?
