To followup without the paranoia aspect:

	The WHO home page that has press releases states that
	this outbreak has been on-going since January.

	The WHO press release that National Public Radio was
	reporting on yesterday said that it had been going on
	for about 3 weeks.

	The Zairean [?] government officials quoted in several
	news stories states that it was on-going since March.

Not saying I don't trust the media for the fact that they are the media,
I just don't trust the media in getting the facts RIGHT.
