VZV again!

My understanding of the VZV vaccine and related issues brought up in
previous posts:
It is a live attenuated virus and is (I think) completely capable of going
latent. I have not heard of any cases in people of reactivation occuring,
but then maybe we just need to wait long enough. Presumably even if it
does it would still be attenuated and not cause shingles. Of course it
would be nice if someone could further manipulate the virus so it wouldn't
reactivate.... About chicken pox being "innocuous", I would love to see a
breakdown of how many people who hold this opinion have children whose
parents both work. I do and you can bet your bottom dollar (or is it $40?)
that both mine will get the shot. If revaccination is neccessary it will
be done (had a tetanus shot lately?). I wonder if anyone has any related
information from the use of this vaccine in Japan, where it has been used
for years.
