I haven't done this myself, but I used to work up the hall from Frank
Graham and his lab and I seem to recall that the terminal fragments of Ad
were sometimes odd in bacteria.  I'm afraid I don't remember the details,
but I have a feeling that one of Frank's reviews may have referred to
this, so you might run through them.  Not much help, I'm afraid.
