                    POSTDOCTORAL POSITION

The Center for Agricultural Biotechnology, University of Maryland 
Biotechnology Institute, College Park, Maryland, has an opening 
available immediately for a postdoctoral fellow to study aspects of 
viroid evolution and epidemiology, as well as to investigate molecular 
mechanisms of viroid pathogenesis. Applicants should possess previous 
experience in molecular biology and be conversant with recombinant DNA 
technology, particularly with screening of gene libraries, cloning, and 
PCR. Experience working with higher plants is desirable, but not 
essential. Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree or equivalent in
