I would like to know why a dialysis machine couldn't be converted to
help combat AIDS by drawing blood from the arm and pooling it with
dilute bleach (or a similar substance) and then filter the blood by
osmosis (the semipermeable membrane pores large enough to allow the
blood cells to seep through but not the bleach or similar substance) and
from there onto the normal dialysis treatment.
