Strecker Memorandum

Would anyone care to comment on the video *The Strecker Memorandum*?
OK, maybe this is a FAQ that's been done to death, but I only saw this 
seven-year old tape last night.  Has anyone else seen what Dr Strecker 
has to say about the origins of HIV, and are there any comments?  I 
assume that since his theories have basically faded into obscurity that 
he's been resoundingly debunked since 1988 when he made this tape.  Is 
this assumption valid?
