Has anyone read this book?

I read "The Hot Zone" and I must say that I found it rather disturbing. I mean,
if this is the way our government handles emergencies involving lethal diseases
...well, we  might as well kiss our ass goodbye. Furthermore, as for that point
 about a virus not wanting to kill it's host...I have some very complex theorie
