POST DOCTORAL POSITION
Program for Mechanisms of Infectious Diseases of Mucosal Surfaces
An immediate opportunity for an individual to participate in a research
program focused on the interaction of bacterial and viral ligands with
cellular receptors at South Dakota State University. Candidates should have
a PhD in microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related field. The
candidate should have experience in membrane biology, signal transduction,
virology and/or bacteriology.
This program has a unique mission, with the primary focus of the research
directed to the mechanisms of infectious diseases of food producing animals.
Current emphasis is on host immune response, mucosal interactions of the host
with bacteria, viruses or parasites and food safety. The program uses
multidisciplinary approaches.
South Dakota State University (SDSU) is a land grant university with a
student enrollment of approximately 8,000 undergraduates and 1,100 graduate
