if you are referring to the book _the_coming_plague_ by laurie
garrett, i just finished this book a week ago, and i found it
to be fascinating. this book painstakenly researched. it is an
interesting mix of epidemiology, scientific research, and medicine
combined with politics. it reads like a thriller (at times), a
political commentary (at times) and a history of post-world war II
medicine (often). i find that laurie garrett has a clear and
consistent voice throughout the entire book, she is a very capable
writer, and she presents the facts clearly.
