Mono questions

I have a few questions about infectious mono.
1)Is there any danger in prolonging the infection by donating blood plasma
for research?( I am a poor college student and it would make me a lot of 
money)
2) How exactly does the virus work?  I am a pre-med student, and have not
been able to find much about it in my texts.
3) I did read something about mono being implicated in certian types of 
lymphomas.  Does anyone know anything about this?
