sample prep for HPV testing

I need help with sample preparation for typing HPV by PCR.  The source of 
material I have is cervical scrape.  Although I am following published 
protocols to prepara the DNA, I have been getting very inconsistent 
results.
	Does anyone have an optimised protocol for that?
