Virulent measles virus in Australia

It is true that an outbreak of disease caused by a previously unknown
morbillivirus occurred recently in Australia. A number of horses were
affected and there was one confirmed fatal human case in an indvidual
working closely with these horses. Another individual was infected with
the virus but survived. The outbreak was controlled quickly by
Australian animal health authorities and to my knowledge no further cases
have been diagnosed.
