POSTDOCTORAL POSTION available immediately to study regulation of HIV-1 RNA
splicing in vivo and using cell-free systems. Research focus is on defining
cis splicing regulatory elements and characterization of host cell HIV RNA-
binding factors (see Amendt et al., Mol. Cell Biol. 14:3960, 1994; Presence
of negative and positive cis-acting RNA splicing elements withn and flanking
the first tat coding exon of HIV-1). Strong background in molecular biology
and biochemistry required.
