Hello !!

This is for those who study immunlogy related issues in LCMV induced
immunodeficiency in mice. I have been wondering how the heck carrier mice
and neonatally infected mice can survive the acute infection by injection
of leathal dose of LCMV-WE or -DOCILE.  According to a group lead by
Zinkernagel, those mice sholud be tolerazied to GP (and NP ?) of LCMV (see
Oehen et. al. Eur. J. Immunol. 22:3149).  Also, they survive the
immunodeficiency caused by LCMV-WE or -DOCILE, which makes sense if CTL in
those mice are tolerazed to GP of LCMV.  But it dose not make sense that
they survive the acute infection.  Does anyone have any ideas ?
