Hello Paul!

It would be helpful if you specified which organism you want to 
detect. It is obvious that the choice is dependent on what kind 
of organisms you want to cover.

We have good experience detecting Chlamydia trachomatis in 
urogenital specimens using Amplicor. Recently, Roche demonstrated 
a new robot - Cobas Amplicor - which performs the full PCR 
reaction in sealed vials without human interference. It seemed to 
be promising, but is not yet tested in a clinical lab. 
Unfortunately, I have no experience of Amplicis.

Hello,

I'm new to internet, so I hope i wont't mess around...
I have to choose beetween 2 methods : Amplicor (Roche) and Amplicis (Cis 
BIo) and i would like to know what experience do you have with both of 
them.
I'm a microbiologist who just starts with PCR and I don't want want to make 
the wrong choice so if if you have experience please help...
