No, it wasn't a hantavirus. The virus is called Sabia arenavirus; it has
some similarities to hantavirus, but not a direct link. Virus is believed
to be spread by rodents, or close contact to an infected person, esp. through
excretions.
Causes skin blotches, sleepiness, chills, diarrhea, tremors, convulsions,
internal and external bleeding, coma, and death. Very rare.
