.IP \fItask_id\fR
A task ID returned by a previous call to \fBrtapi_task_new\fR
.IP \fIperiod_nsec\fR
The clock period in nanoseconds between iterations of a periodic task
.SH DESCRIPTION
\fBrtapi_task_start\fR starts a task in periodic mode.  The task must be in the
\fIpaused\fR state.

.SH REALTIME CONSIDERATIONS
Call only from within init/cleanup code, not from realtime tasks.

.SH RETURN VALUE
Returns an RTAPI status code.
