Founded by Joe Strout, the Mind Uploading Research Group now consists of a growing world-wide network of people with a variety of backgrounds, who collaborate through the MURG mailing list in order to bring about mind uploading. Members range from university students, to amateur and professional scientists and engineers, journalists and writers, and more, united by a common interest in mind uploading and its scientific research goal of whole brain emulation.

If you are similarly interested in mind uploading, would like to stay abreast of developments concerning whole brain emulation, wish to discuss the generalities or the subtleties of mind uploading or related scientific, technical, psychological or social possibilities and consequences, and especially if you would like to pariticipate in the development of mind uploading and whole brain emulation - join MURG now!

Please understand that MURG has relatively quiet periods from time to time. This is normal. MURG is the "mind uploading research group" (not the mind uploading chat room), thus its most important purpose is to keep all those individuals connected and in-touch, who would like to be informed and participate as the research and development of whole brain emulation progresses. MURG and minduploading.org create an international web of voluntary participants, who can be reached through this infrastructure. Joining gives you access to this community. - rak@minduploading.org
